Sr. Risk Management Analyst

Senior Risk Management Analyst 

Looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented professional looking to grow their career and technical knowledge within a dynamic and fast-paced setting. The ALS Group is a collaborative, client-focused environment where the team can provide meaningful solutions and provide strategic support.

We are seeking a Senior Risk Management Analyst to join our team of high-performing professionals. This role is ideal for a risk professional with strong experience in contracts, insurance coverages, and supporting complex client engagements. This role is a “first responder” on all client and external communication with the ability to mentor and delegate to more junior Analysts/Account Coordinators while managing up to more Senior folks as well as clients alike.  

General Requirements: 

  • 5–7 years of experience, preferably supporting Construction and Real Estate accounts or a heavy background in large hospital systems. A plus is having a brokerage, underwriting, or risk management foundation; 
  • A Bachelor’s degree required; industry designations such as CRIS, ARM, CPCU, or similar strongly preferred, demonstrating a commitment to professional development; 
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a valid State  specific Property & Casualty license; 
  • Proven ability to operate in a client-facing role, partnering with, both, internal leadership and client stakeholders; 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Familiarity with key Property coverages;   
  • Experience with OCIP/CCIP programs, including administration in those areas; 
  • Experience in claims management a plus; 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook. 

Basic Job Functions:   

  • Manage multiple tasks supporting client engagements from initiation through completion; 
  • Conduct final reviews of insurance renewal proposals, binders, and policies; coordinate with internal team members and brokers to resolve outstanding items; 
  • Lead and manage the client insurance renewal process, including information gathering, development of coverage specifications, and execution support; 
  • Oversee engagement-related deliverables from inception to conclusion, ensuring quality and relevance; 
  • Mentor and support Junior Analysts, contributing to team development and collaboration; 
  • Review client contracts cover to cover; provide comments and redlined language as needed; 
  • Deliver general risk management advisory services across a range of client matters.

Risk Management Consultant 

A fast-paced, growing organization is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to support operations in the New York City area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance related to construction, real estate, and development, with the ability to operate, both, strategically and tactically across client engagements.  Candidates must have 7+ years of relevant experience across key insurance disciplines. Experience in healthcare-related risk is a plus. Prior experience with contract management and contract review is required. 

General Requirements 

  • Proven track record collaborating with department managers and providing actionable feedback to leadership on risk-related activities, including: 
    • Vendor compliance 
    • Contract review 
    • Broker and insurer management 
  • Highly professional and courteous demeanor; 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; 
  • Active Property & Casualty / 2-20 license with the ability to meet state specific licensing requirements; 
  • Bachelor’s degree required; 
  • Experience with OCIP/CCIP programs, including administration; 
  • Familiarity with key coverages, including: 
    • Builder’s Risk 
    • Contractors Pollution Liability (CPL) 
    • Contractors Professional Liability. 
  • Underwriting experience preferred; 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook. 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Train, mentor, and supervise team members to ensure high performance and consistency; 
  • Manage client engagement items from initiation through resolution, ensuring timely completion acting as the “first responder” to internal and external requests; 
  • Provide technical risk advisory and communicate insights effectively to senior client stakeholders, including CEO, CFO, and General Counsel; 
  • Independently support mid- to large-size accounts, including: 
  • Leading client meetings 
  • Coordinating internal resources 
  • Driving follow-ups 
  • Taking ownership of issue resolution and problem-solving.
